Rules

(FLAG FRENZY)

““CTF will be played with footballs and instead of tagging the opponent, a flag has to be grabbed from around opponents’ waist””

6 people to a team

CTF Arena

-Split the gym in half for 2 games at once

-1 ref at each safe area

-Only one person allowed in the Buffer Zone to guard the ball.

-Once a player is inside the safe zone he is…SAFE… no one else, opponent or not, can be in the safe zone where the football is.

BALLS SHOULD BE MARKED BY TEAM COLORS TO PREVENT CONFUSION.

POINT SYSTEM

1pt (ball hits the ground on opponents side)

3pts (ball is caught when thrown to) CAN ONLY THROW 3 TIMES PER POSSESSION

5pts (run it over)

After scoring, whistle is blown and all play stops.  That player must bring the ball back to his/her safe zone to avoid any confusion.

JAIL

A person is sent to jail when….

-their flag is ripped off

-they drop the ball when thrown to (if the ball is dropped, that person not only goes to jail, but the ball goes back to the other team)

How to save from jail….

-          Player can choose to save 1 person ( and that person has a safe trip back to the other side)

-          Player can choose to save everyone in jail ( but they have no safe return)

Call a “Jailbreak” when….

-          Half time of the games, so during our 10 minute game, a jailbreak will be called at approximately 5 minutes.

TIE GAME:

If there is a tie at the end of the regular 7 minute game, the team with the most people in jail loses.  If there happens to be the same amount of people in jail for both teams, an additional 5 minute OT will be added.

*Depending on whether or not we have a score keeper, referees should try their best to keep score of the one side they are assigned*
